Levi’s invited today’s pioneering musicians from pop, rock, soul and rap to re-craft the music that made them the musicians they are today. These are the 2010 Revival Recordings.
Pretty neat collection, if you’re into that type of thing. This track in particular seems to work exceptionally well, with the druggy-yet-pious vibe of “St. Augustine” sounding as if it could have been an early demo for one of the chill moments on last year’s Bitte Orca.

Al Grivetti was a graduate student at Northern Illinois University in 1990 when he got a dream assignment: Design a new logo for the Big Ten Conference, whose membership was about to increase to 11 institutions. With two brilliant strokes—spelling out the “Ten” to play down the numeral, and adding a subliminal “11”—he created a logo that has lasted 20 years.
