Who needs plates or blocks when you have vintage paper doilies and a little ingenuity? Not Bennett Holzworth, that’s for sure. This is a beautiful example of handmade design, rather than design that’s made to look handmade via Photoshop.
(Note: welcome to FPO, another joint from Under Consideration, which is quickly rivaling Studio on Fire as my favorite Web source for drool-worthy print pieces.)

Birds of a feather, letterpressed together // Studio On Fire Design & Letterpress Blog
My Studio on Fire crush continues, this time with a delightful peacock-themed wedding invitation. (Note the dress code instructions on the reply card.)
This stuff is all so beautiful, it makes me want to get married again (to my current wife, of course) just so I can have have them do some beautiful invitations.

Total, unmitigated CRUSH on Studio On Fire. I literally love everything they do. They do the traditional, old-school letter press look very well, but my favorite pieces are ones like this, where they bring a fresh new design persepctive to a centuries-old technique.
Seriously, take an afternoon and peek around in their archives. I guarantee you you’ll find something you love.
